Not only is it the most aerodynamic bike on the road, but it's also 460 grams lighter than its predecessor, the ViAS. This bike is redefining speed.Our pursuit of perfect tube shapes didn't start in the Win Tunnel, but with the development of the FreeFoil Shape Library. Our engineers used a supercomputer to create new airfoil shapes with different weights, surface areas, and structural targets. With this library, we tested various configurations in the Win Tunnel to determine the fastest setup.Compared to the Venge ViAS and other bikes in the market, the new Venge is eight seconds faster over 40km at zero degrees of yaw. It's also faster in real road conditions, not just in the tunnel. All the bikes were tested under the same fit dimensions and with the same components, such as Roval CLX 64 wheels, Turbo Cotton 26mm tires, Shimano's newest Di2 groupset, S-Works Power saddle, and their respective spec'd cockpits.While aerodynamics is essential, there are other factors that contribute to speed. The perfect combination of weight and aerodynamics is crucial for optimal performance. A strictly aero bike may be great on flats but struggle on climbs and quick accelerations. On the other hand, a strictly lightweight bike may struggle on anything other than steep climbs. With the Venge, we struck the perfect balance. Not only did we make it more aerodynamic than the ViAS, but we also reduced its weight by 460 grams. This weight reduction was achieved by saving 240g in the frame, 25g in the fork, 107g in the cockpit, 25g in the seatpost, and 63g in small parts. Regardless of the course, the Venge will be the fastest option for all types of terrain.Much of the weight savings comes from the Rider-First Engineered tubes. Through extensive research and development, we have created a lighter Venge with a higher stiffness-to-weight ratio and 40% more compliance than the ViAS, regardless of the frame size. These changes may not be visible to the eye, but you will feel the difference in quick accelerations and smooth ride quality.In addition to the weight-saving measures, the Venge also received an updated geometry based on over 40,000 Retül data points and professional rider feedback. This Performance Road Geometry combines a responsive front end with a short wheelbase, resulting in instantaneous response and optimal power transfer.Lastly, the Venge comes with exciting new features. The cockpit, developed in collaboration with our World Tour teams, features a stem with unmatched stiffness, new bars that are faster and lighter, and a textured pattern on the tops for enhanced grip and control. The Venge also offers ample tire clearance, accommodating tires up to 32mm wide.
