A Giant SyncDrive Sport 2 motor with 75 Nm of torque, five support levels and an automatic Smart Assist mode, powered by a removable 430 Wh EnergyPak Smart battery that works with the optional 200 Wh range extender.
Six sensors read how you're pedalling, so the power builds smoothly and Smart Assist adjusts it for you as the trail rises and falls. The 430 Wh battery suits shorter loops and commutes; add the extender for bigger days.
An ALUXX aluminium frame with an integrated head tube and the battery set neatly into the down tube, paired with an SR Suntour XCM ATB coil fork with 100 mm of travel.
A hardtail stays quick and easy to steer on twisty woodland trails, and the fork smooths out roots, rocky patches and rutted bridleways so you stay in control and finish the ride fresher.
Shimano CUES 9-speed shifting with a 36T chainring, an 11-41T cassette and an e-bike optimised KMC eGlide chain.
Pair the 41T bottom gear with the motor and you can sit and spin up steep, loose climbs. CUES and the e-bike chain are made to last, which suits the extra load assist puts through the drivetrain.
Shimano MT200 hydraulic disc brakes with 180 mm rotors front and rear.
A light pull of the lever slows you smoothly, and 180 mm rotors at both ends give the extra stopping power a heavier e-bike needs, so you can relax on long, steep trail descents.
Liv GX03V alloy rims, 27.5 in on XS and S and 29 in from size M, fitted with 2.4 in Maxxis Rekon tanwall tyres.
Smaller frames get nimble 27.5 in wheels and larger ones get 29 in wheels that roll over bumps more easily, so the handling suits your size. The wide Rekons roll quickly on firm trails and grip in dry corners.
A Giant RideControl Dash 2 full-colour display with built-in buttons and a 10 W USB-C port, plus RideControl App connectivity, remote E-Lock and Apple Find My support.
Lock the bike from your phone or the display when you stop for coffee, and Find My shows where it is on your iPhone and alerts you if it's moved, a handy extra layer alongside your usual lock.
An integrated mount for a direct-mount KSA 40 mm kickstand, two bottle cage mounts, mudguard mounts and a MIK rack mount.
Fit a rack and mudguards and the same bike that handles Saturday's trail loop can carry your shopping or do the commute in the wet, with a kickstand to keep it upright when you stop.

Designed for women from the start, it puts fit first. The Tempt E+ has women-specific geometry plus a women's trail saddle and grips, so the reach to the bars, where you sit and what your hands hold are all shaped around a woman rider. That matters on an e-bike, because a comfortable, confident position is what lets you enjoy longer rides and rougher trails.
If steep climbs are your worry, the motor's 75 Nm is the number to look at. Torque is the twisting force the motor adds to your pedalling, and it is what shoves you up a slope from slow speeds. Add a bottom gear that is easier than 1:1 and you can keep turning the pedals on gradients that would be a grind on a normal bike.
Smooth and natural, with support that builds as you push harder rather than surging. Six sensors read how you ride, and you choose from five support levels or let the automatic Smart Assist mode adjust it as the terrain changes. Assistance stops at 15.5 mph by law. You can pedal faster yourself, but fitting a speed box is illegal and would see it classed as a moped.
How far you go comes down to how you ride: the support level you choose, how hilly and muddy the route is, your weight plus anything you carry, tyre pressures and the temperature all play a part. For bigger days, the optional 200 Wh range extender adds nearly half as much again to the 430 Wh battery. If it does run flat, you can still pedal home without assistance.
Forest tracks, bridleways and flowing trail centre loops are its home ground. As a cross-country hardtail, it pairs 100 mm of front suspension with wide 2.4 in tyres for grip over roots and rocks, and hydraulic disc brakes that bite reliably in the wet. For steep, rocky descents or bike park days, a bike with more suspension will suit you better.
Going by your height, XS suits 152 to 163 cm (5 ft 0 in to 5 ft 4 in), S suits 158 to 169 cm (5 ft 2 in to 5 ft 7 in) and M suits 164 to 175 cm (5 ft 5 in to 5 ft 9 in). Wheel size grows with the frame: 27.5 in on XS and S, 29 in on M.
If your week mixes trail rides with commuting or trips into town, it fits right in. Anyone 14 or over can ride it on UK roads without a licence, and the battery comes out to charge at home or work. When you park up, lock it remotely from the app, while Apple Find My lets you trace it from an iPhone and alerts you if it is moved.
Keep the pressure washer for the patio. A strong jet can push water past the seals into the motor, the electrical connections and the bearings. Switch the bike off, then use a gentle hose or a bucket of warm water, bike cleaner and a soft brush, which also brings the tan tyre sidewalls back up nicely. Dry it off and lube the chain afterwards.
Registering it with Liv within 30 days is well worth doing. You get a lifetime frame warranty as the original owner and 2 years on the e-bike electronics. The battery has 2 years or 600 charges, but registration on eligible 2026 e-bikes extends that to 5 years, covering at least 60% of its original capacity for up to 600 full charges, plus discounted motor replacement for 5 years.
Ride it to work every day and the free first check we include at your nearest store is best done within about 3 weeks; for weekend rides, any time within 6 weeks. If anything feels off before then, book it in straight away. After that, we recommend a service every 6 months if you ride regularly or every 12 months for occasional use, to keep it smooth and reliable.
