"The second version of the Fatbar has undergone a full structural re-design. In keeping with the demand for wider, gravity oriented handlebars, we have increased the width to 800mm. Our proven high grade 7050 T6 aluminium and variable gauge taperwall tubing is the key ingredient of the Fatbar. With careful and efficient use of material, we have massively reduced the weight to a trail-worthy 315g. At the same time performance levels retain the same legendary strength and durability and match the stiffness of the original Fatbar.The new Fatbar is available in our market leading choice rise options; 10, 20 30 and 40mm. And we have now added a colour option; either the iconic Renthal AluGold hard anodised or the all new black hard anodised finish."

The Renthal Fatbar is the ultimate aluminium downhill race handlebar.
We designed the Fatbar to be the ultimate combination of lightness, strength and durability.

The all new Fatbar is at a much lower weight of just 315g. This has been achieved with more efficient use of material, removing any excess to reduce weight, whilst retaining the strength, durability and flex characteristics of the original Fatbar.
As well as reducing weight, width is also increased up to a full 800mm. The Fatbar features proven 7° back sweep / 5° up sweep combination and is available in 10, 20, 30 and 40mm rise options, to suit any bike and any rider preference. All rise options are also available in both 31.8mm and 35mm diameters.
The Renthal Fatbar has already gained cult status, as the aluminium handlebar of choice for World Cup downhill. Eight World Championship gold medals have been won using the Fatbar, cementing it as one of the most successful race products of all time.
The Renthal Fatbar is constructed from exclusive, high strength, 7 series aluminium. The material and specific heat treatment processes have been carefully selected to give the ultimate in strength and durability.
Millions of tiny steel shot are blasted at high velocity at the Fatbar, leaving a textured surface finish. This shot peening process vastly increases the fatigue life and hence durability of the handlebar.
The Fatbar features a hard anodising surface treatment. This finish is far superior in abrasion resistance to standard anodising, to keep your handlebar looking new.
