I bought this bike as a replacement for my old Trek Remedy 8 and wasn’t disappointed.
Having ridden 27.5 for roughly 10 years, I recently started riding a 29er ebike also. So when looking for a new bike I wanted the cockpit feeling of my old Remedy and wheel size/wheelbase of my ebike. Having not ridden the Trek Slash before buying, researching the geometry of different bikes was important.
As I’m 5’10” I was unsure of whether to buy a size M/L or L, because the reach of the Slash seemed much longer than my Remedy. However other reviews online spoke of this figure being deceiving due to the shorter stem on the Slash. I opted for the size Large and it was perfect.
I’ve only ridden the bike 3 times since buying the bike a week ago. At BPW, FOD and local trails. Each time the Slash felt comfortable with the variety of trails and feels like a good alround mtb. Excellent components, along with a carbon frame make this bike really good value for money in comparison to what is out there at the moment.
