The world's most successful downhill/race pedal, the Mallet DH from Crankbrothers, has been improved even further! The pedal features dual-chamfered edges that reduce rock strikes and, combined with proven traction pad technology, maximizes your performance. The open design of the Mallet DH allows for quick and reliable engagement with minimal mud clogging. With a two-piece body, the pedal is both lightweight and durable. It's no wonder that the Mallet DH is the clipless pedal of choice for most Pro World Cup riders. One of the standout features of this pedal is the ability to set the release angle of the cleats to either 15° or 20°, allowing for active pedaling while remaining securely attached to the bike. The pedal body is concave, providing a flat pedal feel while keeping you connected to the bike. The Mallet DH comes with premium brass cleats and has a warranty of 5 years. It weighs 479g per pair and has an extruded/machined aluminum platform with cast stainless steel wings. The spindle is made of forged scm435 chromoly steel and has a Q-factor of 57mm. The pedal also features igus LL-glide inner bearings and enduro cartridge outer bearings, both designed for durability and adverse conditions. With 8mm adjustable traction pins and excellent mud-shedding capabilities, the Mallet DH ensures a secure grip in all conditions. The pedal's dual chamfered edges reduce rock strikes, and the ribbed body provides extra traction when unclipped. With 4-sided entry, the Mallet DH allows for easy clipping in from any angle. The pedal design is extremely lightweight and consists of only a few key parts. With 6° of side-to-side rotational play, the pedal offers increased float, allowing riders to shift positions on the bike while remaining clipped in for improved control and handling. The crankbrothers premium cleats that come with the pedal can be adjusted for either 15° or 20° release angle. Additionally, zero-float cleats can be purchased separately. The pedals are fully rebuildable, making maintenance simple. The pedal refresh kit (CRB-16051) contains all the parts needed for servicing, and no specialist tools are required. In summary, the Crankbrothers Mallet DH pedal is a top choice for downhill and race riders. Its innovative design, durability, and performance-enhancing features make it a must-have for serious riders.
